Concord TV provides an array of equipment that can be reserved and used by Concord residents. High-end camcorders are available to be rented out by our volunteers, in addition to tripods, lighting and audio equipment. To edit your video footage, turn to the top editing program available- Adobe Premiere CS6 which is available in all our editing bays.

Not all of our gear is available to be checked out for field use. Some equipment is limited to being used in the studio space. This page will outline the gear we have and which can be used for checkout.

All equipment requires a reservation to be made before arriving at the station to ensure equipment availability. Please call at-least 2 hours before picking up equipment.

ConcordTV Producers can checkout equipment for free. All we ask is for something back to air on the channel. You must be a certified producer to be eligible to checkout equipment.

Sony V1U

We have several Sony HVR-V1U cameras available for reservation. It is a 1080p-capable camera with 24 fps capability, and full manual controls for exposure, white balance, shutter speed and focus. The V1U can be record in DV or HDV mode on mini-DV tapes. Capturing footage simply takes a Firewire cable connected between the V1U and one of our Mac computers. Alternatively, if you want to avoid having to capture MiniDV tapes, We recommend one of our newer XA25 cameras.

This camera is kept available for checkout for legacy reason or for those who are more familiar with it.
