On September 21, 2022 at 7:30 PM, the Walker Lecture Series presented the premiere of the new feature documentary The Players; The 95-Year History of the Community Players of Concord NH.  Produced by ConcordTV, the project was created over the last year with support from NH Humanities.  The Community Players provided ConcordTV full access to an extensive archive of stage photographs, vintage programs, theatre posters and  documents dating back to 1927.  Additional photos made available by Concord Public Library, Friends of the Concord City Auditorium and local collectors are highlighted in the film along with interviews featuring the Community Players

ConcordTV states that the documentary “tells the story of a little theatre that grew up in hard times, learned from the pros, found a home, and became a resource for a growing arts community.”  The premiere screening and talkback took place in the historic Concord City Auditorium, where the Community Players produced their first play in 1927.

The documentary was also be screened at Red River Theatres on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 7pm with a talkback with filmmakers and The Players.  Tickets are on sale now – $15.  The screening was a benefit for the Community Players 95th Season.
